It was once noted (on Project Runway, I think) that good is the greatest enemy of great. That is to say that if you settle for something being good, you’ll never push yourself beyond that to achieve greatness.
Well you know what I say? Celebrate mediocrity. You don’t need to be great. It’s OK to be average…and it takes much less effort to achieve it.
If the bell-curve says you’re average and your grades reflect a “C”; if you’ve never achieved fame or greatness and you don’t really care, if you’re a grown man who wears a jumpsuit to work and you don’t fly a fighter jet, join us in celebrating the ordinary.
Viva mediocrity!
